About the show

The Suffolk Show is one of the highlights of the county calendar and a good opportunity to showcase the skills and creativity of Suffolk beekeepers. With the 2026 Show on the horizon, we would like to encourage as many members as possible to consider entering honey, wax and confectionery classes. Although the Show is two months away, the best entries are rarely produced at the last minute. High-quality honey, well-finished wax exhibits and successful confectionery all benefit from early planning, careful preparation and an understanding of what the judges are looking for. Now is the time to start thinking about potential entries.

For first-time exhibitors

If you have never entered the Suffolk Show before, please don’t feel that it is “only for experts”. Many successful exhibitors started with a first, tentative entry, and the Show is an excellent way to learn, gain feedback from judges, and build confidence. There are classes suitable for all levels of experience, and support is available through your local association. We would very much like to see new names alongside familiar ones on the entry list in 2026.

We would also like to encourage local associations to support members by including talks or demonstrations at meetings on how to prepare good show entries. Inviting experienced exhibitors or judges to speak can make a real difference, helping members to understand presentation standards, common pitfalls and the small details that turn a good exhibit into an excellent one.

Entering the Suffolk Show is not only rewarding on a personal level, but it also promotes beekeeping and local produce to a wider audience and reflects positively on our Association as a whole. Whether you are a seasoned exhibitor or someone considering their very first entry, we hope you will take part in 2026.
