Best Practice Day

Beekeeping Best Practice Day
at the Moreton Hall Preparatory School, Bury St Edmunds, IP32 7BJ
from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm
on Saturday 30th March 2019

Our annual Best Practice Day is focusing on Rearing Your Own Queens. We will be looking at getting a colony ready for queen rearing and various methods to produce as many queens as you require. This is aimed at all levels of ability.

Our main speaker is Clive de Bruyn: Clive will be explaining grafting and will run a workshop for you to try it. Peter Sunderland will talk on the importance of nutrition in the colony and how to get a colony ready for queen rearing. From the Chalfonts in Buckinghamshire we have two presenters Deborah Campbell and Gordon Cutting who will look at the Hopkins, Miller and Cupkit methods along with the use of apideas.
